Kelly Cox, CCLS, GC-C, is a Certified Child Life Specialist, grief professional, speaker, mentor, and published author with over 10 years of experience supporting children and families through illness, grief, trauma, and life transitions. She currently works in community based hospice and bereavement care while also providing education and support to communities, organizations, and families.

As co-founder of Child Life Launchpad, Kelly is passionate about helping students feel more confident and supported as they navigate the path toward certification and internships. She believes mentorship should be encouraging, practical, and individualized, helping students recognize their strengths while building confidence in the process.

Kelly is also the founder of Steady in Hope and author of the children’s grief workbook Heartprints.

Sarah

“The path to becoming a child life specialist can feel overwhelming — mentorship helps make it feel possible.”

Sarah is a Certified Child Life Specialist with over a decade of experience providing community-based child life services throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Since 2015, she has supported pediatric patients and children of adult patients receiving hospice care, helping families navigate serious illness, grief, and difficult life transitions with compassion and connection.

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas. As co-founder of Child Life Launchpad, she is passionate about mentoring future child life specialists and helping students feel more confident, supported, and prepared as they pursue internships and certification.
